Decorating your tree

Once you get your tree home safe and sound (or we deliver it – contact us for more details on this!) it’s time to get it in prime position for decorating. This is another great Christmas activity for all the family.
We always like to have the Christmas tree near a main window so that you can enjoy it while you’re outside as well as inside. And it’ll look beautiful at night time from the outside, all covered in twinkle lights.
Firstly, you’ll need to stand your tree up in with a stand, in some water. This can be a tricky job, so be sure to ask us about how to use your stand properly, and make sure there’s an extra set of hands or two to help you get it standing tall and straight.
Secondly, it’s time for the lights. Remember to take extra care when setting up your lights, as there is water around at this stage! When you have your lights woven around your tree nice and evenly you can start to add your favourite ornaments.
There’s no hard and fast rule for decorating a tree, but we like to colour coordinate a bit! You can go with white and gold, or green and red, or try something a little modern like blue and silver. Whatever tickles your fancy!
And once your tree is looking steady, decorated and twinkling, well, it’s time to sit back with a glass of eggnog and enjoy!
