Why are Christmas traditions important?

Many people get tired of Christmas. “It’s so much effort. It’s expensive. It’s commercialised.” What drives our Christmas spirit every year is our traditions. We grew up loving Christmas – the way it brings people together, the way it brings out a loving and uniting generous spirit in everyone, the way it rounds out the year and lets us all start on the same page again for the next.

Christmas traditions are important because it’s one of the few times of year that we can all gather around and break bread together. However you want to enjoy Christmas, you should always make the effort to do so. What is important is that you do so together. That’s why we always encourage people to bring their family and friends to pick out a tree. It means you share the spirit, share the love and enjoy being together. Which is rare these days, wouldn’t you agree?
